CatiBovin Wins Gold at EuroTier 2026 | PerformaNat

PerformaNat’s innovative feeding solution improves the utilization of calcium and nitrogen already present in the ration.

Berlin/Offenbach, 22 September 2026 – Gold for CatiBovin: PerformaNat GmbH’s innovative feeding solution has received a gold medal at the EuroTier Innovation Awards 2026.

The EuroTier Innovation Awards recognize outstanding innovations in international livestock farming. Gold medals are awarded to innovations that introduce a new concept and enable a decisive change in function. CatiBovin impressed the jury with a novel approach to dairy cow nutrition: Rather than supplying the cow with additional nutrients, CatiBovin helps her absorb and utilize nutrients already present in the feed more effectively.

CatiBovin contains specific phytogenic active ingredients that activate natural TRP channels in the rumen. These transport channels are involved, among other things, in the absorption of calcium and nitrogen. Activating them can make these nutrients, which are already present in the ration, more available and allow the cow to utilize them more efficiently.

The approach is the result of more than ten years of research into the function of TRP channels and calcium and nitrogen transport in the rumen. The underlying scientific findings have been published several times and are protected by patents.

Benefits of the new feeding approach

• More efficient nitrogen utilization: Nitrogen already present in the ration can be made more available and used more effectively for milk protein and other metabolic processes. At the same time, less surplus nitrogen may be converted into urea and excreted.
• Higher milk yield: Trial and field results show milk yield increases of 5 to 10 percent, depending on the ration and the initial situation.
• Support around calving: Practical experience indicates more stable starts to lactation and positive effects on the cows’ metabolic situation.
• More value from the existing ration: Improved utilization of available nutrients can help increase feed and nitrogen efficiency.
• Easy to use: CatiBovin is mixed directly into the TMR and can be used flexibly in different animal groups.
