We have been struggling with the bluetongue virus for a few weeks now. Our late-pregnant cows are increasingly giving birth prematurely. Cows that are infected with the bluetongue virus at the time of birth show recurring fever and a lower milk yield at the start of lactation on our farm. We therefore sought a solution to better support our cows.
We measure the cows' temperatures every day and then treat them with fever reducers. In addition, we treat these animals every 2 days with 2 EnergieBoluses from PerformaNat. The cows are much more active, and their general condition has improved. The EnergieBolus is a good, very practical measure to alleviate the consequences of bluetongue.
