In 2021, I had the opportunity to join the PerformaNat team. It’s the first startup I’ve ever worked for. So it was a completely new experience for me to join such a small team and work so closely with the management. Up until now, I’d mostly dealt with unreachable CEOs based somewhere in Paris or London, resulting in endless decision-making processes and rigid guidelines. At PerformaNat, that’s not the case—I feel like my work has a direct impact on the company’s success. I can identify projects and carry them out. When I need a decision, it’s made quickly. Management is always approachable and present. How often have I heard the phrase “my door is always open”—unfortunately, it was often just a phrase. Here, it’s truly the case. As a team, we have a common goal—everyone pitches in and takes responsibility. We’re constantly evolving, reinventing ourselves and it never gets boring. Things can keep going just like this, and I’m looking forward to what the next few years have in store for us.

In 2020, I started working in telephone customer service at PerformaNat while I was still in school. During that time, I was able to further develop my skills and knowledge, contribute ideas, and eventually even take over as head of sales coordination.
I also received great support during my pregnancy and after returning to work, and was able to grow beyond myself professionally because equality and family-friendliness are truly put into practice here.
