The ReproBolus does not guarantee pregnancy. It helps improve nutrient supply during the pre-insemination phase.
Heat is only beneficial if it is detected in time.
A silent or mild estrus is barely noticeable. Targeted supplementation with β-carotene enhances follicle development and estrogen production. This can help the cow exhibit a more pronounced estrus, making it easier to determine the optimal insemination time.
Even after insemination, nutrition remains crucial.
The second ReproBolus is administered on the day of insemination. It supports the uterine lining as well as important nutritional processes related to the early development of the embryo and its implantation approximately 19 days after fertilization.

ReproBolus combines vitamin A and β-carotene with the trace elements selenium, copper, manganese, zinc and iodine. Among other things, it supports ovarian function, reduces oxidative stress, improves immune status and early reproductive processes.
Support where it's really needed.
The ReproBolus is intended for selected cows and heifers, such as those experiencing silent estrus during the voluntary waiting period or repeated unsuccessful inseminations. The ReproBolus is particularly useful for cows whose fertility may be impaired by inflammatory processes and metabolic stress following milk fever, ketosis or metritis.
A bolus releases its active ingredients in a controlled manner over a period of up to 28 days. This ensures targeted support for the selected animal without the need to supplement the entire herd.

ReproBolus is not intended for routine use with the entire herd. It is suitable for selected cows and heifers that require additional nutritional support.
This includes, in particular, animals with silent or weak estrus, cows with multiple negative test results and cows recovering from illness or a stressful transition period.
Targeted supplementation may also be beneficial following metritis or retained placenta. However, acute illnesses must be treated separately.
Two administrations for two crucial phases.
The first bolus is administered 28 days before the planned insemination date. The second bolus follows on the day of insemination.
The first bolus supports the preparation of the follicle and egg, while the second bolus supports the development and implantation of the embryo. The long, continuous release over 28 days provides better support for hormonal processes.
A few days are usually not a problem.
If insemination is delayed by only a few days, the medication from the first bolus is usually sufficient.
If the planned insemination is delayed by more than ten days, another bolus should be administered. In practice, such a significant delay often indicates that an estrus cycle was not detected.
There should be at least 28 days between two administrations.
The second bolus usually coincides with the next estrus.
The bolus administered on the day of insemination releases its active ingredients for up to 28 days.
Since a cow’s cycle lasts approximately 20 to 21 days, the supply lasts until the next estrus. This also provides nutritional support for the development of the next follicle.
An immediate additional administration isn't necessary.
The overall nutrient intake must be taken into account.
In general, ReproBolus can be used in combination with mineral feed, β-carotene supplements or other products.
However, the total amounts of vitamin A and trace elements from all feedstuffs used must be taken into account. An uncontrolled combination of high-dose products can lead to an excess intake.
When nutritional status alone cannot be the cause.
A single mild or missed estrus does not require a veterinary examination. However, an evaluation is advisable if:

No estrus is detectable over an extended period

Metritis or other diseases are suspected

Cysts or anatomical abnormalities may be present

The animal is visibly ill or has a poor appetite

Metabolic problems are suspected.
ReproBolus can help with problems related to nutrient deficiencies or oxidative stress. It cannot resolve blocked fallopian tubes, severe infections, anatomical abnormalities or insemination errors.
